"Counsel is mine..." Proverbs 8:14

Counsel is the Hebrew word atsa. It is Strong's Concordance number H6098 and it means advice; by implication a plan. It comes from the word ya'ats meaning to advise, reflexively, to deliberate or resolve.

Jeff Benner says in the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon, "The two letter root of this word means to be upright and firm like a tree just as the elders of the tribe were the upright and firm ones making decisions and giving advice. This is the firm support of the community."

The Ancient Hebrew Analysis: to pay attention and heed the hunter's revelation.

The hunter has been watching, waiting, and chasing the situation or pray. He knows details you are not aware of. it is wise to pay attention and heed his word. The ultimate hunters is Yahuah and Yahusha. But the elders that Yahuah has placed as the watchmen over our souls are also hunters.

We should only take counsel from someone that has been successfully hunting longer than you.

It is comfortable for many to take counsel from his or her friends and peers. The problem is that this isn't going to help your situation because you are just sharing trauma stories with no solution at the end.

The elders have been placed in the body to give counsel because the have conquered these obstacles by the power and authority of Yahusha haMashiach.

"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise." Proverbs 12:15

Prayer Point: Pray that Yahuah would send the Ruach (Spirit) of Counsel and wise counselors to you?

Reflection: Do I seek counsel from elders that are overcomers or do I seek counsel from those that will likely agree with me?
